Welcome back, Parents! In addition to getting back on schedule with the Swimming Hole Storm, we are excited to announce the Lightning Squad Junior Swim Team! We are thrilled to grow our programming in a way that will hopefully have a greater reach, bringing more of us together. Read on for more details, including program descriptions, schedules and fees. Registration for both programs is now open for returning participants and will open for new swimmers on Thursday, April 30 at 9 AM.

Storm Swim Team May 26 - July 2

Monday - Friday 7:15-8 PM / 8-8:45 AM 

$180 per swimmer 

For members age 7 and up, the Storm is for novice and seasoned swimmers alike. We ask that Storm participants come prepared to swim multiple laps of the pool with freestyle (front crawl) arm strokes. It is helpful to have some knowledge of the other strokes, though proficiency is not required. Practices will run between Tuesday, May 26 and Thursday, July 2. As in the past, these practices will be after school while CMS is in session and then move to the mornings beginning on Thursday, June 11. We will have two intra-squad meets as well as our FIRST ever dual meet against the Lake Norman YMCA Tide! Tentative meet schedule is here. 

We are again limited to 45 swimmers on a first come, first serve basis. Due to the limited number of participants, please make sure your child can commit to regularly attending practices and is motivated to swim. If you expect you will have multiple conflicts please consider leaving space for another swimmer.

Lightning Squad June 15 - July 2 

Mon/Wed/Fri.    8:45-9:15 AM 

$125 per swimmer 

We are excited to announce a new Junior Swim Team for ages 5 through 7! The Lightning Squad is a good fit for kids new to swim team, or for young swimmers who want to build confidence before committing to the Storm. Practices will begin Monday, June 15 and run for three weeks. Shorter, thirty minute practices will focus mostly on the development of a proficient freestyle, while introducing the basics of other swim strokes. Meet participation is entirely optional. Please note that this is not swim lessons — participants should be able to pass the Swimming Hole lifeguard test and comfortably swim the length of the pool. We are so grateful to coach Lindsay McLelland, who will be leading this group! Lightning Squad will be limited to 20 members on a first come-first serve bases.
